Cloud|AG has launched new backup options for its customers' data. The options offer Office 365 users the flexibility of the cloud but with full control of data should it ever need to be restored. Backups are stored in either in a Microsoft Azure location or a user's FTP location.
The company has partnered with AvePoint to establish options that enable Office 365 users to manage, backup, restore data to protect their Office 365 Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and OneDrive for business services. Two options are available to customers; Cloud|AG configures and monitors the backup process after a customer signup, or customers make a subscription to a cloud-based backup tool which allows them to manage the backup process independently.
“Microsoft strongly recommends Office 365 customers have a granular backup/restore strategy for their cloud assets," explained Cloud|AG's VP Sales, Michael Ganote. "Our backup services provide organizations the ability to maintain the same level of protection and control over their cloud-based assets as they experience with on-premises solutions”.
