Multi-cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) provider Jelastic
has announced a partnership with web host Reclaim Hosting LLC (Reclaim Hosting). Jelastic, which has headquarters in Palo Alto, California, United States, was established in 2011. The company specializes in several areas offering services that also include cloud and other hosting options alongside Containers-as-a-Service (CaaS) services. It caters to a range of organizations including telephone companies, service providers, and businesses that need to “speed up development, reduce the cost of IT infrastructure, improve uptime and security”. Jelastic offers a unique “pay-as-you-use” pricing model and its services are available as public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud in about 60 data centers globally. Its partnership with Reclaim Hosting focuses on expanding PaaS for educational institutions.
Reclaim Hosting has headquarters in Fredericksburg, Virginia, United States, and was founded in 2013. The company caters to educators and educational institutions offering “an easy way to offer their students domains and web hosting that they own and control”. It specializes in speeding up development and simplifying application lifecycle management with “automating deployment, scaling, clustering, continuous integration, and delivery”. For increased security and better performance, Reclaim Hosting offers a container-based server infrastructure that supports PHP, Java, Node.js, Python, Ruby, Go, Docker, and many other options. It has data centers in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Alongside Jelastic, Reclaim Hosting will offer advanced PaaS to “a huge community of educators, universities and other institutions”.
