Dutch hosting provider my.host has expanded into Denmark with the opening of a new branch in Copenhagen and the launch of a Danish-language website. The company has also become an official registrar for the .dk country-code top-level domain through Punktum dk, marking its first expansion outside the Netherlands.
The company's Danish branch is registered under CVR no. 46774922, while its Danish website is available at my.host/dk. The expansion brings my.host's portfolio of domain registration, web hosting, VPS and dedicated server services to the Danish market.
my.host currently serves more than 45,000 customers and manages approximately 200,000 domain names. The company says it has grown independently without external capital and remains privately owned rather than being part of a private equity-backed or international hosting group.
Entering the Danish Hosting Market
The move into Denmark comes as the Danish hosting market undergoes consolidation, with several established hosting brands having been acquired in recent years. my.host says its strategy differs by maintaining its independent ownership while expanding into neighboring markets.
The company is also entering Denmark during a significant change in the management of .dk domain names. Since July 1, 2026, new .dk domains can only be registered through an accredited registrar. Existing domains that are still managed directly through Punktum dk must also be transferred to a registrar by June 30, 2028.
.dk Domains From DKK 79
my.host will offer .dk domain registrations and renewals for DKK 79 per year, including VAT. The company says transfers of existing .dk domains will be free, with the remaining registration period retained following the transfer.
The provider also supports Punktum dk's Fast Track Transfer system. Once a domain holder authorizes a transfer through Punktum dk's self-service portal, the authorization process between Punktum dk and the registrar can be handled automatically, reducing the need for manual transfer-code processing.
According to my.host, its .dk renewal price is the lowest among the 16 registrars compared by the independent price comparison website DomainInsight.dk at the time of the announcement.
Danish Infrastructure Planned
The company plans to expand its Danish presence further with the introduction of physical servers in Denmark. Once available, the infrastructure will allow Danish customers to host their websites and applications on servers physically located within Denmark.
"For us, Denmark is more than a new market. We want to show that an independent hosting provider can be close to its customers across the border as well: locally established, local domains at a fair price and soon local servers too," said Marijn Vlug, founder of my.host.
The Copenhagen branch represents my.host's first international expansion as the company continues to develop its hosting and domain services beyond the Netherlands.
