NASCAR Driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. Set to Compete in New GoDaddy.com’s Chevrolet

April 3, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. is set to compete at the Texas Motor Speedway in the Chevrolet he designed for GoDaddy.com, it was reported yesterday. Earnhardt, a GoDaddy.com spokesman who has won the Nationwide Series twice, suggested he is excited about the prospect of competing in the car. "I was excited about it when I designed it. Now I just can't wait to get it out there," he explained. "We're looking forward to a great run in the No. 5 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet."

Go Daddy announced its sponsorship for Earnhardt in December, after signing a deal with JR Motorsports and Hendrick Motorsports, making them the “primary sponsor for the No. 5 NASCAR Nationwide Series Chevrolets for six races in 2008”. Mark Martin, the all-time NASCAR leader, will also drive the No. 5 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet this year. Nationwide Series races are broadcast live on ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 and draw millions of TV viewers.

"NASCAR fans eat, drink and breathe this sport. They are incredibly loyal. The sport is exhilarating and our sponsorship is just a great match all the way around," explained Bob Parsons, CEO and Founder of Go Daddy. "We believe our car, our drivers and our partnership are a formula for fun and success." The series will show live Saturday on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. and Parsons plans to watch Earnhardt from the pits.
