November 3, 2005 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Canadian web hosting provider Netfirms (http://.www.netfirms.com) yesterday announced an upgrade to their XL6 Control Panel. The panel, which allows webmasters to manage a variety of functions related to their web sites, is a proprietary technology exclusive to Netfirms and available through Netfirms packages. The latest version of XL6 features increased speed, enhanced features and an improved user interface.

The new XL6 includes a Domain Manager that allows users to easily perform a range of domain-related functions. The system also features an improved account management process which facilitates the installation of bundled applications (e.g. WordPress, Commerce Pro, etc.)., the addition of new domains and multiple web site management, accounts upgrade and renewal, file editing and uploading (through a File Manager), and PHP and MySQL administration. The system also links to the Netfirms Knowledgebase to provide answers to users’ queries.
