December 9, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - The UK's leading domain name provider NetNames (http://www.netnames.com) today announced the opening of a new office in Frankfurt (www.netnames.de) with the intention of protecting major German, Austrian and Swiss brands from ‘cyber-squatting and online brand damage’. The move is seen as timely given the growth of the German online economy, growth which that has made the ‘.de’ suffix the second most popular in the world.
NetNames’ flagship ‘Platinum Service’ is available to organizations with more than 50 domain names and is currently utilized by over a third of FTSE 100 companies. The service enables companies to outsource domain management, improve registration, renewal and payment processes, and safeguard online intellectual property. NetNames’ new German operation will make the Platinum Service available to German, Austrian and Swiss organizations through dedicated account managers within the region.
