MyLaunchKits.com (MyLaunchKits) is targeting “small business entrepreneurs” with a range of “business level” products and services. MyLaunchKits, which has headquarters in Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States, offers a range of services designed to support those starting a business. These include Linux, Windows and WordPress hosting, domain name registration and website design services. The company also offers cloud and dedicated server options.
MyLaunchKits bills itself as not engaging in price wars with competitors but instead offering a level of service that sees it “rising above the fray”. The company forgoes quantity over quality – an issue it sees as harmful to the web hosting industry. “When it's all quantity and not quality, the service suffers,” suggests the company’s CEO David Dumas. “That's one of the biggest problems with the state of web hosting today. It's all about the volume."
Mr. Dumas goes on to suggest that a company’s online presence is of paramount importance and businesses should not rely on a “$3 a month hosting plan" for such an important aspect of their business activity. He goes on to add that "shared" hosting can be unreliable with a large number of websites hosted from a single machine.
He suggests that business owners should have greater control over their hosting. MyLaunchKits offers managed WordPress, dedicated and cloud servers as alternatives to shared options. "Take the time to research what your needs are,” he suggests. “You don't need to go broke getting your website and your business online but remember that if a product or service seems cheap - you get what you pay for."
