New Web Page Analyzer Tool Cuts Download Times in Half

March 15, 2005
March 15, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Web Site Optimization is launching a new free service that will prevent web sites from losing visitors due to bandwidth hogging web pages. The 0.94 version of the WSO Web Page Analyzer Tool scans, analyzes, and calculates page size, composition, and download times. The tool calculates the size of individual web page elements and finds the total for each type of component. Based on these page characteristics the analyzer tool then offers free advice on how to improve page display and load time.

The tool will purportedly cut file size and download times in half.

Interested parties can test drive the Web Page analyzer at: http://www.webpageanalyzer.com or http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/)

"By popular demand this version adds iFrame and Frame support, CSS-based image grouping, faster response times, and higher CSS and JavaScript file size thresholds," said Andy King, President of Web Site Optimization. "Companies spend a lot of money on the latest cutting-edge graphic design, multimedia, and other creative design techniques. This is all a total waste of money if your visitors have to wait more than a few seconds for your web pages to load.”
