New Zealand communications service provider
Spark Digital (Spark) has acquired IT infrastructure company Computer Concepts Limited (CCL). Spark, which has headquarters in Wellington, New Zealand, offers a range of services including mobile phone options and plans, and broadband and landline options. The acquisition is intended to enhance Spark’s cloud services capability and will cost the company NZ$50 million (US$33.19 million).
CCL, which has headquarters in Christchurch, New Zealand, bills itself as “providing innovative and cost effective engineering-powered IT expertise”. The company has a presence across New Zealand (Christchurch, Dunedin, Blenheim, Nelson, Wellington, and Auckland) and offers a range of professional services alongside infrastructure, data protection, hybrid cloud and data center options.
“We’re pleased to have a cloud services company with the track-record and reputation of CCL joining our team and strengthening our market-leading capabilities,” explained Spark’s CEO, Tim Miles. “Our strategy is to better enable our customers to succeed in a digital world, and Cloud is an integral part of that. This acquisition builds on the earlier purchases of Revera and Appserv, and with CCL now in our group we are better positioned to assist New Zealand business needs in the areas of platform IT services and Cloud computing”.
