Tech Data has added new Symantec solutions to its StreamOne Cloud Marketplace in the United States. A Fortune 500 company, Tech Data has headquarters in Clearwater, Florida, United States and was established in 1974. The company offers end-to-end products, services and solutions that “enable channel partners to bring to market the products and solutions the world needs to connect, grow and advance”. Its products and services extend to cloud, IoT, mobile, analytics, big data, hardware, and software offerings. The Symantec solutions added to its marketplace are Symantec Cloud Workload Protection (CWP) and Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) Mobile.
The addition of Symantec’s solutions offers resellers in the United States security solutions that are “easier to manage and cross-sell, speeding time to revenue”. With Symantec CWP users can monitor critical workloads across public clouds, private clouds, and data centers and ensure they are secure. The system’s features, including automated workload security that protects against a range of sophisticated threats, are available “from a single intuitive console”. Tech Data is offering Symantec CWP with ‘pay-for-use’ and annual pricing models, and use on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) public clouds. SEP Mobile defends managed and unmanaged iOS and Android mobile devices from cybersecurity threats using advanced ‘layered’ technology that “leverages extensive threat intelligence” and protects mobile devices against a range of threats.
"We are excited to expand our Symantec portfolio with the addition of the leading-edge CWP and mobile protection products," explained Tech Data’s Director, Security and Information Management, atx, Tracy Holtz. "Our dedicated team of Symantec experts is available to provide demos, sales support and product assistance for our reseller customers. Additionally, to get resellers up and running quickly, we will be offering free 30-day trials of both products."
