The ninth annual ‘
UK Managed Services & Hosting Summit’ will take place September 18, 2019, it was announced recently. The event targets a broad spectrum of attendee including executives of hosting providers, data center providers, and cloud service providers. It will address a range of issues such as raising brand awareness and corporate recognition in a crowded market and feature “focused conference sessions” alongside a number of keynote speakers. The summit will take place at 155 Bishopsgate, London, United Kingdom. A sister European summit takes place in Amsterdam, Netherlands later in the year.
Jointly staged by IT Europa and Angel Business Communications, the “executive-level event” will consider the opportunities available to managed service providers in the United Kingdom. Working from the premise that “the best way to stay current is to exchange ideas and see what is already working well for others”, the event provides insights into how providers can continue to address the continually growing demand for managed services. The agenda for the summit has yet to be published, but based on previous events it will consider sales and business issues alongside technology concerns such as the emergence and impact of the Internet of Things (IoT). Specifically it will cover establishing and enhancing business value, customer relations, changing regulatory and security requirements, and issuers like marketing and sales engagement to benefit from what will be a $245 Billion industry by 2022.
"In the face of accelerating technological advance and the increasing complexity this creates, more and more organisations are opting to focus precious resources on their core competencies by outsourcing the delivery, maintenance and management of their IT infrastructure to MSPs," explained IT Europa’s Managing Director Alan Norman. "This is creating huge opportunities, but to compete successfully in creating value for their customers, MSPs will need to adapt and evolve to ride the latest waves of technological advance to ensure they can deliver real value."
