data2cloud (D2C) has launched a new email and collaboration solution. D2C, which has headquarters in Muscat, Oman, was established in 2013. The company offers “managed hosting solutions from a state-of-the-art data center hosted in Samail, Oman”. An Ooredoo company (a Qatari telecommunications company), D2C caters to a global and regional customer base which includes “governments and large enterprises”. Its latest solution is managed by D2C and targets customers of a range of sizes. It is hosted within the region and meets “international standards”.
Designed to “suit all market segments”, D2C’s fully integrated solution targets private and public entities with a virtual ‘office in the sky’. The solution is made available through D2C’s Oman data center and represents a “single platform with a user-friendly interface”. Aside from email and scheduling, the solution offers “real-time team chat”, storage, and a ‘desktop suite’. Costs start at only OMR1 ($2.60) per month for a mailbox with “basic features”. Packages increase in complexity going up to ‘Advanced’ packages with “web meetings, online chat, and file sharing”.
“In this day and age, email is a key communication tool for the sustainability of any business. Identifying a need in the market, we are pleased to add this new solution to our growing portfolio of services,” explained D2C’s CEO Monther bin Hamad Al Mamari. “By doing so we are helping organizations reduce their capital expenditure by eliminating their need to purchase servers or software licenses. But above all, we are helping them to secure their data locally and reliably.”
