Online Gaming Server Host Multiplay Selects RapidSwitch to Expand into United Kingdom
Online gaming server host Multiplay has selected British dedicated server company RapidSwitch to help it expand into the United Kingdom. Multiplay will leverage the Maidenhead, Berkshire-based company’s Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) options to facilitate the expansion. RapidSwitch already provides Multiplay UK-based hosting at its Maidenhead data center. This service caters for a number of online games, including EA Battlefield 4 and community-based games that include DayZ, Minecraft, and Rust.

Established in 1999, RapidSwitch provides a fully scalable approach to hardware which is comparable to the current trend of scalable virtualized platforms. The company is part of iomart Group plc. and recognized as one of the UK’s leading dedicated server providers. It manages around 10,000 servers on behalf of its customers. The infrastructure RapidSwitch provides Multiplay will be based on Dell servers. Multiplay manages 25,000 servers in 27 locations around the world.
