Open Cloud Company Rackspace Launches New Rackspace Private Cloud Software Features Including OpenCenter
Open cloud company Rackspace has launched a number of new features in its Rackspace Private Cloud Software. Powered by OpenStack® and pushing Rackspace services into private enterprise cloud arena, Rackspace Private Cloud Software is free, open source software designed for scalable private cloud deployment using a company's own datacenter.

Rackspace Private Cloud Software combines OpenStack community ‘trunk’ code, tools provided by Rackspace, and a range of solutions provided by the company's Technology Alliance Program partners, each validated and certified by Rackspace engineers. The new software features include OpenCenter, a graphical user interface and API designed to allow users to deploy, configure and manage scalable private clouds. The software now also enables users to choose between host operating systems (Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS) when deploying private clouds.

Rackspace Private Cloud Software is free of charge and available from the company's website.
