Open source solutions provider
Red Hat, Inc. (Red Hat) has added Kevin M. Murai to its Board of Directors. Red Hat, which has headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States, created the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system. Established in 1993, the company’s services include cloud options and enterprise software solutions. Mr. Murai joins Red Hat’s board from Fremont, California-based IT distribution, customer care and outsourced services provider Synnex Corporation (Synnex).
Mr. Murai is an industry veteran and was president and co-CEO of Synnex from March 2008 to December 2008 and president and CEO from December 2008 to March 1, 2018. He also served as the chairman of the company’s board from March 1, 2018 until his departure. He held a number of executive positions before joining Synnex include roles at global technology and supply chain services provider Ingram Micro Inc., where he spent 19 years.
