Open source solutions provider
Red Hat has launched a certified cloud and service provider program. The company, which was established in 1993, has headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA and a presence in many countries worldwide. It offers a range of services including storage, operating system platforms, applications, management products and support and training services. Its new program caters to partners that focus on the open hybrid cloud solution.
Red Hat's latest program supersedes its Certified Cloud Provider program. It offers additional support to hybrid cloud distributors and managed service providers. It helps providers offering Linux container-based infrastructure and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions “better meet customer needs for cloud-based Red Hat technologies”. It also extends the range of Red Hat solutions available to partners. Additional solutions include Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux for SAP HANA, OpenShift, Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform, JBoss Middleware and Gluster Storage.
"Much like enterprise IT itself, the world of cloud computing is constantly evolving, especially with the growing promise of hybrid cloud approaches and Linux container-based architectures.,” explained Red Hat’s Senior Director, Business Architecture Michael Ferris. “The Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Provider program is designed to encompass nearly all service provider models, spanning the public cloud to on-site managed services, offering our customers a secure, stable and trusted partner ecosystem upon which to build their next-generation IT projects using Red Hat solutions."
