Open-Xchange Introduces Simplified SaaS Partner Pricing

April 29, 2010
April 29, 2010 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Open-Xchange simplified pricing for its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) e-mail and collaboration alternative to Microsoft Exchange, the company announced today.

The new OXrate pricing program has five SaaS partner levels based on the providers' customer base -- ranging from less than 1,000 to more than 250,000 customers. Each level offers two options of pricing – flat rate and guaranteed revenue.

“Hosting and service providers can quickly grow their business by selling additional groupware and mobility features on top of Open-Xchange webmail to existing and new customers," said Rafael Laguna, CEO of Open-Xchange. “Open-Xchange helps service providers to remain competitive against Microsoft, Google and Yahoo Mail, build ARPU (average revenue per user) and enhance stickiness of their services.”

The first pricing option is targeted towards partners looking for an aggressive marketing approach. Partners will receive a flat rate for the first year, which lets them sell an unlimited number of groupware subscriptions without extra fees. The second option is for partners with a more conservative approach, as partners only guarantee a moderate minimum revenue per year, and they will receive a discount ranging from 25 to 38 percent on standard rates. In both pricing options, partners receive Open-Xchange Webmail and PIM (personal information manager) free for all their customers to enable them to replace their existing webmail solution as part of the new partner pricing. Open-Xchange is used by more than 15 million users worldwide as hosted and on-premises business-class e-mail and groupware. With recently introduced “Social OX” features, Open-Xchange also gives users the ability to consolidate any kind of existing webmail accounts -- for example from Google and Yahoo - into a folder in Open-Xchange so they can be managed more easily. In addition, contact details from social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn or Xing can be added automatically to the Open-Xchange address book - giving users easy access to the latest contact information within their personal network. Users can now integrate and merge their address books from Google Mail and Facebook into Open-Xchange, as well.
