March 20, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Parallels today announced that Swyx Solutions AG has selected Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.0 to deliver a cost-efficient and scalable hosted PBX application via a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model.
Using Parallels software, Swyx quickly delivered "Hosted SwyxWare," a hosted solution based on its "SwyxWare" telecommunications system for Microsoft Windows. Hosted SwyxWare combines locally installed software components and virtual-PBX servers running in Parallels Virtuozzo Containers, which helps businesses save money by replacing or supplementing their conventional PBX solutions.

Hosted SwyxWare scales from a single server to a multi-server environment, which can support unlimited customers and be deployed as a pre-built, pre-configured solution. Swyx customers can operate the application the same as before, and can upgrade hardware or expand the base system without reinstallation or downtime.
