Peak 10 Adds New, Enterprise-Class Data Center To South Florida Campus

December 2, 2011
December 2, 2011 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Peak 10 Inc., a managed services and cloud provider with world-class data centers, announced today it has broken ground on its second data center facility in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The 11,000 square-foot addition will bring Peak 10 South Florida’s total footprint to 33,000 square feet and will be the company’s 22nd data center facility within its 10 U.S. markets.

“We are very excited about the construction of our second state-of-the-art facility,” said Stefan Pittinger, the vice president and general manager of Peak 10 South Florida. “We have an ongoing commitment to fulfill the needs of South Florida’s technology community, and will take proactive steps to do so through collaboration with the local market.”

Like all Peak 10 facilities which meet enterprise-class standards, South Florida 2 will be engineered with multiple levels of security, uninterruptible power, HVAC systems, fire suppression and around-the-clock monitoring and management. It will be SSAE 16 and PCI compliant and interconnected with Peak 10’s private network, which provides customers the advantage of highly available Internet access and the ability to leverage all data centers in nine other markets in implementing disaster recovery solutions.

“This hurricane season, we have been proud to serve as a trusted IT advisor that not only has a hardened facility, but is able to deliver a vast portfolio of managed services and 24/7 support to fulfill customers’ disaster preparedness and recovery needs,” said Allen Skipper, senior vice president of market operations for Peak 10. “This second facility will allow our customer-focused team to continue meeting the IT demands of both current and future customers in the region.”

“We congratulate Peak 10 on its expansion and success in Fort Lauderdale and the greater South Florida region,” said Jack Seiler, the mayor of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. “Peak 10 continues to show its commitment to fostering our local economy by providing IT expertise and delivering managed services and cloud solutions to a growing number of local businesses.”

As part of its 2011 expansion strategy, Peak 10 announced earlier this year that it has completed work on additional enterprise-class data center facilities in Richmond, Va. and Louisville, Ky. Construction has also begun on a third facility on Peak 10’s campus in Nashville, Tenn. The company combines its secure, private network and enterprise-class data centers with world-class engineering and support to serve market-leading companies nationwide. As a managed services leader, Peak 10 offers a wide range of technology solutions including cloud, virtualization and managed hosting services in a cost-efficient and reliable platform for its customers. The company owns and operates data centers in 10 key markets.
