Productivity and Collaboration Services Provider Zoho Announces Launch of Two New Data Centers
Productivity and collaboration services provider Zoho Corporation (Zoho) has announced the launch of two new data centers. Zoho, which was established in 1996, has headquarters in Pleasanton, California, United States. The company provides sales, marketing, HR, finance, productivity, collaboration and business process solutions, including online email. It offers three globally recognized brands - Zoho, ManageEngine and WebNMS. Its solutions include ‘Zoho One’, its flagship cloud application suite used by more than 35 million globally. Its new data centers will support continual growth in interest in its services.

Zoho’s new data centers will be located in Mumbai and Chennai in India. News of the launch comes on the heels of intensive marketing of Zoho One in the Indian market. The Mumbai facility will be Zoho’s ‘primary’ center, while Chennai, its ‘secondary’ center. Both will come online “in a few weeks”. The facilities represent a $20 million investment for Zoho, which is hoping to make a major impression on the Indian market, with a target of generating $1 billion within five years.

“These data centers will target the Indian business,” explained the President of Zoho.com, Raj Sabhlok. “It is one of the top-10 markets for us now. But we expect it to become top-1 or 2 market in the next five years. “Our business here grew dramatically in the last two years. Things like GST contributed to that”. He added, “As against 10 per cent in other tech companies, we spend about 40 percent on research and development”.
