RapidScale has promoted Mr. Andrew Laughter who now takes on the new role of Director of Channel Sales for the East Region. RapidScale, which has headquarters in Irvine, California, United States, was established in 2008. The company specializes in a broad range of hosting-related services including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS), and Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) options alongside managed cloud services data storage and backup options. A Cox Business company, RapidScale describes itself as “a global provider of managed cloud computing and application solutions for the SMB and enterprise markets”. Mr. Laughter will help “trusted advisors create secure and reliable cloud solutions for their customers in the East”. He will report to Bob Buchanan, the company’s Executive Vice President of Sales.
Mr. Laughter has been with RapidScale since 2013 initially in the role of ‘Partner Experience Manager’. This role included developing partnerships that offer RapidScale business opportunities in the Southeast region. Before RapidScale he worked with Cybex International as North Florida Territory Manager and before this was a player at Texas Rangers Baseball Club. In his latest role Mr. Laughter will lead and mentor RapidScale partner experience managers, recruit new sales partners, and develop the company’s channel sales within the region.
