Report Suggests Web Host IPower ‘Plagued by Client Criticism’

March 6, 2008
March 6, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – A report in the online version of The Arizona Republic, a daily and weekly newspaper based in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, suggests that web hosting provider IPower (http://www.ipower.com) has been ‘plagued by client criticism’. According to the report, complaints have covered a range of issues including website failures, poor technical support and billing mistakes. This has led the company to revise its customer service approach - the company is now part of the RatePoint scheme as part of its new measures, which also include employing nearly twice as many customer service staff.

The report quotes officials at the company as suggesting server upgrade and migration issues were the cause of some of the problems IPower customers have experienced since it merged with Endurance International Group. The report also suggests the Better Business Bureau – which IPower is NOT a member of – lists several complaints about the company, some which have been addressed, and others which were not.

IPower has grown from revenue of $29.1 million and 158 employees in 2006, and currently has around 300 employees. 2007 predictions suggest revenue of around $55 million in 2007. IPower and Endurance International Group have separate headquarters and work as separate organizations. Together they cater for over a million hosting accounts.
