RRPproxy has launched a new initiative to enable registrars make money from unused domains after the Metaregistry teamed up with NameDrive EU to allow owners to display advertising links on empty pages.
The domain-parking provider, which targets premium-landing pages, will divert viewers to keyword-related landing pages and provide an income to registrars through a Pay Per Click basis.
The landing pages will be geo targeted and language specific Google advertising links, in a process which Michael Riedl, CEO of NameDrive states will be facilitated with an “optimal technical connection."
Riedl continued: "While domain parking for the large U.S. registrars is meantime on top of the agenda, German registrars have difficulties with it."
RRPproxy believes that domain parking could result in a "sale opportunities increase" for customers, and will be including it as a separate command in the RRPproxy API and also integrated in the web interface.
