Search giant Google and SaaS platform site builder
Wix.com (Wix) have formed a new partnership. Wix, which was founded in 2006 has headquarters in Tel Aviv, Israel. The company provides a well-known site builder platform that has over 200 million registered users globally and competes with companies like Weebly. Alongside paid options, the company offers a free website builder for mobile websites, free blogs, and develops web apps. It also offers domain registration services.
The partnership offers “expanded integration with Google” and allows Wix users to manage their Google business profiles using the Wix interface. The current move underscores Wix’s continuous efforts to help users in key areas, including SEO. Wix now allows users to “claim and update their business profile on Google” and ensure their business information is up to date by adding photos, creating posts, and responding to reviews and question and answer sessions through Wix. According to the company, an up-to-date business profile is considered 2.7 times more reputable, 70% more likely to attract location visits, and 50% more likely to “lead to a purchase”.

"We believe Google My Business is important for business owners to gain exposure and increase their customer base," added Wix’s Head of User Marketing, Kobi Gamliel. "We're happy to continue our partnership with Google and offer a seamless integration enabling our users to better optimize their online presence for engaging with customers and succeeding in today's online landscape."
The ‘Wix Editor’ offers users “over 500 designer-made templates” that they can use to build a website. Also, its “innovative drag and drop builder” means sites can be built without coding or web design skills. The ‘Wix Marketplace’ allows users to engage expert design, development, and SEO assistance. Wix’s partnership with Google means users with websites built on Wix will find it easier to manage their business profile on Google. Wix and Google had previously collaborated by integrating Google’s ‘Search’, ‘Workspaces’, ‘Analytics’, and ‘Tag Manager’ options within Wix’s control panel.
