Service Management and Enterprise Cloud Provider ServiceNow Acquires Cloud Management Company ITapp
Service management and enterprise cloud provider ServiceNow has acquired cloud management company ITapp. ITapp, which has headquarters in Santa Clara, California, United States, bills itself as delivering “next generation application-centric cloud automation software”. The company, which was established in 2012, helps organizations transition from external data centers to having an internal data center capability and an external cloud. Its approach means reduced ecosystem tool integration costs for its customers.

ServiceNow will pay cash for ITapp and the deal is expected to be finished this month. Financial aspects of the deal were not announced. The deal gives ServiceNow greater ability to deal with its customers’ public, private and hybrid cloud requirements.

“ITapp and ServiceNow share a vision to deliver self-service, governance and automation across all functions in the enterprise,” explained ITapp’s CEO and co-founder Brajesh Goyal. “The combination of ServiceNow Cloud Management and ITapp will allow customers to deliver more of their enterprise services in the cloud by automatically spanning their private data centers and cloud service providers.”
