Shared and Dedicated Hosting Provider NetHosting Upgrades Shared Hosting Option and Lowers Fee
Shared and dedicated hosting provider NetHosting has upgraded and the reduced the cost of its shared hosting option. The Orem, Utah-based company, which has been in operation for 15 years, caters to a business customer base (which includes "enterprises of every size") with products that also include cloud hosting, storage, dedicated and managed hosting alongside virtual hosting services.

NetHosting's shared hosting option leverages the CloudLinux operating system and is known as "Cloud Virtual Hosting". It allows users to host an "unlimited" number of websites and offers unlimited hosting space alongside unlimited file transfer and email accounts. The cost of NetHosting's shared hosting is now around 50% less what it previously was (down from $6.99 per month to $3.95 per month). The move comes in the wake of the company recently releasing a "Windows-enabled shared hosting product".

"There’s a clear market for extremely low-cost, yet reliable hosting in a shared environment,” explained Lane Livingston, the CEO of NetHosting. “This product is tailored for those clients who are sick of the ‘cheap’ alternative. We’re firm believers that cheap hosting doesn’t have to be ‘cheap. Most website owners don’t require hosting capabilities beyond a shared environment, but all deserve a reliable, always-available product at a realistic rate. For those customers, this product is available for less than four dollars a month”.
