Software Analytics Company New Relic Acquires Performance Monitoring Services Provider CoScale
In a bid to enhance its software analytics platform, software analytics company New Relic has acquired performance monitoring services provider CoScale. New Relic, which has headquarters in San Francisco, California, United States, was established in 2008. The company’s services offer “real-time performance insights into software, infrastructure and customer experience”. It simplifies digital transformation and allows companies to speed up cloud adoption. New Relic will absorb CoScale’s technology and selected manpower. Financial aspects of the deal have not been released.

CoScale, which has headquarters in Gent, Belgium, was established in 2013. The company specializes in full stack performance monitoring which is optimized for Kubernetes and its platform monitors containerized infrastructures and in-container applications. With “automated anomaly detection” its services reduce the complexity of monitoring and finding infrastructure issues. It also allows users to “act proactively on performance changes”. According to New Relic the two organizations have a “shared vision” and CoScale offers a “natural fit”. The acquisition will see New Relic “doubling down on Kubernetes”.CoScale, which has headquarters in Gent, Belgium, was established in 2013. “We are thrilled to bring CoScale’s knowledge and deeply technical team into the New Relic fold,” explained Ramon Guiu, the Senior Director, Product Management at New Relic on the company’s blog. “The CoScale team members joining New Relic will focus on incorporating CoScale’s capabilities and experience into continuing innovations for the New Relic platform, specifically New Relic Infrastructure. We look forward to the team members’ talent, experience, and expertise with monitoring modern software architectures—particularly containers, microservices, and Kubernetes—optimized for large and dynamic production environments. They’ll be a great complement to the teams working on New Relic Infrastructure”.
