Software-defined infrastructure solution provider HiveIO Inc. (
HiveIO) has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). HiveIO, which has headquarters in Hoboken, New Jersey, United States, was established in 2015. The company’s offerings deliver “the power, value, and agility of the public cloud with all the security, control, and governance of the private cloud”. HiveIO offers a unique architecture and manages more than a million virtual desktops worldwide. The company has appointed Mr. Dan Newton to its CEO position.
Moving Mr. Newton to the CEO position underscores the company’s growth strategy, which included the acquisition of Atlantis Computing Inc.’s technology in 2017. An industry veteran, Mr. Newton brings 15 years of cloud computing and technology experience to his new role. In his career he has been responsible for providing “some of the worlds most recognized global brands” with solutions that meet their exact requirements. Prior to joining HiveIO he worked with Rackspace and served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) after its purchase of IT service provider Datapipe. He has also held key positions at North Dakota-based Perot Systems Corporation and the Physician Services Technology Business Unit at Dell.
