South African web host Afrihost has increased the number of licenses it holds with email security company SpamExperts. The company, South Africa's largest web host, has used SpamExperts email protection services since 2010, protecting the email services attached to 30,000 Afrihost domains since that date. Afrihost recently announced it will increase this number to 150,000 domains protected before the end of 2013.
Established in 2000, Afrihost delivers "world class hosting solutions". The company offers services in South Africa, the USA and Australia. SpamExperts' provides inbound and outbound email filtering services and email archiving to web hosts and enterprises. Its services can be offered using its Hosted Cloud options or on its customers' Local Clouds and virtual hardware. Afrihost's migration to SpamExperts' cloud services has significantly reduced the load on its in-house IT capability.
SpamExperts' Local Cloud Incoming Filtering options enable systems to operate on the company's clients' local hardware, creating a "private filtering wall in front of its hosting environment". This allows SpamExperts' customers to optimize resources and meet their changing needs through cPanel add-ons that automate and optimize email security provisioning.
