Speakers and presentations have been announced for the SecureCloud 2016 conference
to be held May 24-25 in Dublin, Ireland. The event, which will take place Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, is recognized as Europe’s only conference dedicated to cloud security. It offers industry and government leaders the opportunity to meet and “discuss and exchange ideas about how to shape the future of cloud computing security”. This year the event will feature panel presentations discussing emerging trends in cloud computing.
The announced line up of speakers includes Intel Security’s VP and CTO Raj Samani who will speak on the topic of "Securing the Cloud of Tomorrow", and Microsoft’s Vice President, EU Government Affairs John Frank who will do a session on "Privacy & Security in the Cloud: Customer Rights and Governments' Lawful Access to Data". In addition Elastica Director of Security and Cloud Threat Labs Aditya K. Sood will talk about "Understanding the Crux - Abuse of Cloud Storage Services for Targeted Cyber Attacks", while NIST’s Senior Security Technical Lead for Cloud Computing Michaela Iorga will talk about "Flying Through a Cloudy Sky". A wide array of other speakers is also earmarked for the event.
"Even with all the awareness of the benefits of cloud technology, an overwhelming number of companies still have concerns about security, privacy and data management in the cloud and conferences such as this one are an important forum to address, discuss and resolve these concerns," explained CSA’s Chief Technology Officer, Daniele Catteddu. "SecureCloud will bring together some of the cloud industry's top experts and thought leaders and we expect that it will draw substantial interest from the industry. We anticipate that this year's event will further grow this body of knowledge and help us achieve a more trusted and secure cloud environment."Do you know of any other industry events taking place in the near future?
