UP-Great AG (UP-Great) has announced the imminent launch of a new online backup and cloud-based data storage service. UP-Great, which has headquarters in Fehraltorf, Switzerland, offers a range of services from SharePoint options and IT-as-a-Service (IaaS) to a Hybrid IT platform. The company’s new ‘Online Backup Service’ (BaaS) is a response to customers’ requests for an inexpensive online backup solution that offers “local backup servers and managed service at a fixed price”.
BaaS will offer “medium and large businesses” the benefit of predictable cloud backup costs that enable companies to reduce data security and backups costs and invest the savings in other areas of their businesses. As a fully managed backup service, BaaS offers an off-site backup solution that eradicates the need for businesses to store copies of data and reduces infrastructure maintenance costs. Data can be restored with local backup server and the solution offers a “fast and secure way to save and restore whole systems as well as single files”.
