April 7, 2007 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - SWsoft (http://www.swsoft.com) has released a new version of the PEM automation platform for native Windows environments, it was announced recently. The move is “in response to growing demand from service providers and enterprises with Microsoft Datacenters”.
PEM is a mechanized hosting platform that, according to the company, “reduces operational costs by as much as five dollars a month per customer”. The solution makes it easier for service providers to launch and manage Windows services, including Windows-based web hosting offers, Windows-based virtualization solutions, Hosted Microsoft Exchange and Hosted Windows SharePoint Services.
“The new PEM solution makes it more cost-effective to deliver carrier-class billing and automation services to hosting providers who operate in a Windows-only environment,” explained SWsoft CEO Serguei Beloussov. “PEM’s customizable framework draws on the expertise of SWsoft’s OPEN FUSION initiative to deliver modern hosting technologies that can be integrated with both SWsoft and non-SWsoft services on any platform.”

The new version of PEM is “built on top of Microsoft Windows Server platform technologies, including the Microsoft Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration, Active Directory, Internet Information Services, Microsoft Domain Name System and Microsoft SQL Server”. The solution offers a number of functions, including “integrating a web storefront, provisioning workflow, domain registration, payment gateways, service plan management, reseller functionality and customer control panels”.
