Systems management and security software provider
Quest Software (Quest) has acquired SharePoint and Office 365 security solutions company Metalogix. Quest, which has headquarters in Aliso Viejo, California, United States, was established in 1987. More than 100,000 global organizations have benefitted from their services which help its customers “turn data into insights”. The company helps its customers “optimize the application experience” and modernize their infrastructure for the cloud. It specializes in areas that include database and cloud management, data protection, and Microsoft platform management. Quest’s acquisition of Metalogix is intended to enhance its suite of Microsoft platform management solutions. Financial aspects of the deal were not released.
Metalogix, which has headquarters in Washington, DC, United States, was established in 2001. The company bills itself as “the market-leading provider of solutions to move, manage and protect content within enterprise collaboration platforms”. Its broad range of products and services include SharePoint monitoring, migration and management, Office 365 migration solutions, and email and file archiving. The company has more than 20,000 customers globally. Quest’s acquisition will enable it to add SharePoint, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business capabilities and to meet increased Office 365 and SharePoint adoption in organizations of all sizes.
