Avnet has announced the launch of its new cloud marketplace. The company, which has headquarters Phoenix, Arizona, USA, offers a range of services alongside its core distribution services. These include supply/ design chain and logistics options, device programming, computer system configuration, and financing and marketing services. The company has signed IBM as its first Avnet Cloud Marketplace member.
The Avnet Cloud Marketplace will now offer IBM's cloud services to Avnet’s partners in the United States and Canada. Cloud-based services will be made available to Avnet’s partners’ customers on both a consumption and subscription basis through SoftLayer and IBM’s PaaS Bluemix. Avnet’s partners will also be able to “create branded storefronts in the marketplace to feature their own bundled cloud offerings”, be able to “access IBM SaaS solutions” as well as “benefit from Avnet Cloud Marketplace’s cloud management toolset and flexible payment options”.

Also, the Avnet Cloud Marketplace will enhance their customer relationships and roles as trusted advisors by providing them with close connections throughout the entire cloud engagement.”
