Telecommunication Services Provider TeliaSonera Agrees to Acquire Swedish Cloud and Hosting Services Provider Ipeer AB
Telecommunication services provider TeliaSonera has agreed to acquire Swedish cloud and hosting services provider Ipeer AB. The acquisition will allow TeliaSonera to offer Ipeer AB's products and services to its business customers. Financial details were not released.

TeliaSonerais prides itself on providing quality networks and operations. A leading wholesale provider, the company is owner of one of the world’s "most extensive fiber backbones". Its network access and telecommunication services are offered to companies in a range of countries including Spain, Russia and Turkey. In 2013, the company generated net sales of SEK 101.7 billion ($14.15 billion).

Ipeer AB has facilities in the Swedish cities of Stockholm and Karlstad. It also has a presence in India. The company employs a total of 65 employees. In 2013, it generated net sales of SEK 56.7 million ($7.87 million). Ipeer AB has been absorbed into TeliaSonera's activity with Swedish network provider Cygate as part its cloud and hosting services business.

”The acquisition of Ipeer means that we will be able to deliver new types of cloud services supplementing our strong offering of business solutions," explained TeliaSonera Executive Vice President Malin Frenning. "Ipeer provides technology and competence in cloud and hosting services for both small and large companies. Thanks to our billion investment in infrastructure, we will be able to offer total solutions allowing our business customers to use the almost unlimited opportunities provided by the digitalization in society”.
