Telecommunications Service Provider Tech Valley Communications (TVC) Acquires Vermont-based TelJet Longhaul, LLC
Telecommunications service provider Tech Valley Communications (TVC) has acquired Vermont-based TelJet Longhaul, LLC. The company, which operates fiber networks in New York and New England in the United States, purchased TelJet’s Vermont and New Hampshire fiber networks as part of the deal. TelJet’s colocation facility was also included. Once absorbed by TVC, TelJet’s senior leadership and employees will work in ‘similar roles’ and focus on serving their customers in Vermont.

TVC has headquarters in Albany, New York, USA and caters to a broad customer base. The company’s telecommunications products include dedicated Internet access, Ethernet, MPLS, SIP trunks, virtual PBX and audio-conferencing, managed commercial wireless systems, and data center colocation. The company’s new acquisition means TVC is now the operator of a 190,000 mile network which is ‘one of the largest and most dense fiber networks in upstate New York, northern New England and into Canada’.

“This is an important day for Tech Valley Communications, our employees, customers and stakeholders,” explained Tech Valley Communications Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, Kevin O’Connor. “This transaction allows us to extend our high capacity, low latency fiber network throughout the State of Vermont which will benefit businesses, healthcare organizations, educational institutions and government entities throughout all of the regions we serve.”
