Telx and Colocation America Forge Channel Partnership

October 26, 2011 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Telx, a leading interconnection and data center provider in strategic North American markets, announced today that it has entered a non-exclusive channel partnership agreement with Colocation America, a leading West Coast data center operator. Under the terms of the channel partnership agreement, Telx has engaged Colocation America as a Master Agent, allowing the company to offer its customers carrier-neutral connectivity choice and colocation in any of Telx’s carrier neutral data centers in eight key U.S. cities.

“Colocation America is proud to be a channel partner with Telx, one of the fastest-growing interconnection and colocation companies in the U.S. today,” said Albert A. Ahdoot, Business Development Director at Colocation America. “We see great value in the fact that Telx is carrier-neutral, allowing our customers in North America to expand beyond their presence to other key cities and be one cross-connect away from a secure, direct connection to any of Telx’s 950 carriers, ISPs, media/content and enterprises within the Telx ecosystem. With Telx, our Master Agents can offer our customers the power of choice beyond our current data center footprint.”

The channel partnership agreement is neutral, eliminating overlap with other Telx and Colocation America channel partners. This allows Telx sales executives to provide direct marketing and sales support to Colocation America agents, resulting in a higher close rate and a more collaborative channel relationship that benefits both companies.

“This powerful new alliance will help us grow our interconnection and colocation customer base nationwide, while helping Colocation America provide the most choice in connectivity to their customers who are looking to expand their presence in other cities, including New York City, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago and Dallas,” said Kirk Horton, VP of Channels for Telx. “This channel partnership will give Colocation America agents a competitive edge as they seek rapid market entry in key U.S. markets, giving their business communications customers the ability to choose from literally hundreds of providers while keeping connectivity costs low.”
