The Planet Adds ISS Security System

February 27, 2005
February 27, 2005 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – The Planet announced the addition of ISS which will monitor activity across and networks allowing instant response to security breaches. It will be available to all Planet customers, standard with its Total Control and Focus Series products or for a fee with Server Matrix customers.

"We want our customers to be covered in more than one way at every level," explained Ryan Carter, Information Security Manager for The Planet. "RealSecure isn’t affected by network-level encryption services such as SSL. So it complements our other solutions, protecting the underlying operating system from operating system exploitation and application vulnerabilities."

According to ISS, RealSecure Server Sensor is designed to analyze events, host logs and inbound and outbound network activity to block malicious activity. RealSecure Server Sensor applies built-in signatures and protocol analysis with behavioral pattern sets and automated event correlation to prevent both known and unknown attacks.
