September 10, 2008
September 10, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – UK dedicated IT hosting company Memset (http://www.memset.com) has been shortlisted for 'Best Web Host' by PC Pro Magazine for the third consecutive year, it was announced recently. The annual awards are voted for by users rather than a judging panel and the magazine compiles a shortlist for each award by “running one of the biggest IT surveys in the UK where customers are asked to vote for their favorite provider in each category”.

“To be shortlisted as Best Web Host for the third year running is fantastic news, especially as our nomination is down to our customers”, explained Memset’s Managing Director, Kate Craig-Wood. “Our focus has always been on providing service and support that is so good that our customers would want to recommend us to others, and being nominated means we must be achieving our goal.”

Memset has also been shortlisted in the Environmental Innovator category, the IT host is hoping to be recognized for their efforts in introducing utility computing and dynamic dedicated clusters, enabling them to reduce power and hardware requirements in the data center and bring about change within the industry as a whole.

Memset was established in 2002. It offers “flexible dedicated server packages” and development of their Miniserver™ technology “has enabled the company to be recognized as the leading developer and supplier of virtual dedicated server systems in the UK”. The company is Britain's first Carbon Neutral ISP, and was voted best UK Web Host 2006 & 2007 by PC Pro readers.
