US provider
Web Hosting Hub has added Solid-State Drives (SSD) to enhance its web hosting speeds. The company, which has headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA, offers a range of "reliable, scalable and affordable" hosting services (including shared hosting) designed to help people "easily get their websites online". Its caters to around 40,000 customers through two data centers based in the United States. The inclusion of SSD to its services is likely to provide hosting that is "20x" faster than traditional hosting.
SSD drives have no moving parts and are therefore significantly faster than the “spinning disk” type of servers utilized by more traditional shared hosting options. Each of the company's Spark, Nitro, and Dynamo hosting plans now offer servers with SSD. As a result, the company's customers should experience a significant increase in website performance. The inclusion of SSD comes alongside the introduction of SSH access and PostgreSQL - each provided at no additional cost for each of Web Hosting Hub's package customers.
“We’re stepping up the game to give our customers the best advantage in succeeding with their e-commerce store, blog, or business website,” explains Web Hosting Hub's Brand Manager, Artem Minayev. “The Internet is a cutting edge platform, and if your website isn’t being hosted with the latest and best features, then you’re losing. After these upgrades, our customers will be miles ahead of their competition.”
