VKernel, the award-winning provider of enterprise-class performance and capacity management products for virtualized data centers and cloud environments, announced today the company has expanded its global reach. Supporting this is a new EMEA headquarters and general availability of the vOperations Suite 3.5 (also referred to as vOPS 3.5) in Japan.
A primary goal for VKernel in 2011 has been to expand its global footprint to meet significant demand for performance and capacity management solutions outside the North American market. Today’s announcement marks two key milestones towards meeting this goal.
First, VKernel is opening a new EMEA headquarters to support operations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The new headquarters will be located in Reading, UK and will be staffed with sales and marketing employees to drive expansion through direct and indirect channels over the coming quarters.
Second, Macnica Networks, VKernel’s distributor in Japan, this month began shipping a version of vOPS 3.5 fully localized for the Japanese market. This expansion into Japan is expected to yield significant opportunities as virtualization environments grow in the world’s third largest economy.
