Media Temple has added a new tier to its Grid managed shared hosting solution plans. The new tier enables the company to cater better for “database-intensive websites”.
Established in 1998, Media Temple has headquarters in Los Angeles, California, United States. The company offers a wide range of premium solutions that cater to web designers, developers and creative agencies. Its new ‘Grid Elite’ plan meets the hosting needs of “high-traffic, database-intensive site and app owners” and helps customers “manage their growth”.
Grid Elite is designed for continuous operation and offers ‘the scalability and benefits of a managed shared platform”. It also offers a higher level of reliability and performance by providing dedicated resources for databases. This removes the possibility of data congestion as databases never compete for RAM and storage. Grid Elite also offers improved speed and security with a Web Application Firewall (WAF) feature and malware monitoring and removal function. The new plan offers 250GB of Solid State Disk (SSD) storage and 5TB scalable bandwidth for $60 per month.
