Web Host and Domain Name Provider Go Daddy Opens Bay Area Office
Web host and domain name provider Go Daddy has opened a new office in the Bay Area. The new facility will be in Sunnyvale and will provide 40,000 square feet of space. Go Daddy will occupy Moffett Towers, where the company's neighbors will include Amazon, Google, HP and Microsoft.

Scottsdale-based Go Daddy serves a global base of 11 million customers and is recognized as the world's largest web host and domain name provider. The company's move to new premises is driven by demand for its services and intended to cater for an expected increase in the number of staff the company employs in the Bay Area. Its new facility offers Go Daddy a threefold increase in capacity when compared to its previous location. In February of this year the company had only 40 Sunnyvale employees, but it drew new hires from companies like Amazon, eBay, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and AT&T, and by June its workforce had increased by more than 200%.

Go Daddy's move to a new facility comes on the heels of the launch of development of its new 150,000 square foot facility at the ASU Research Park in Tempe, Arizona in May of this year. The company has offices in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa and Hyderabad, India and also has facilities in Canada, Singapore and The Netherlands.

"We picked Moffett Towers because it has the amenities we need to attract top talent, as well as its great location in the Bay," explained Blake Irving, CEO of Go Daddy. "Employees will enjoy a gourmet café, indoor basketball and volleyball, a full gym, and an outdoor swimming pool. We'll even have a climbing wall. Our employees are active and love these type of amenities."
