GoDaddy has launched new server options in India. The company, which bills itself as “the world’s largest technology provider dedicated to small businesses”, is offering new CentOS powered Fedora or Windows dedicated and Virtual Private Servers (VPS) packages with additional support and cPanel or Plesk control panels.
With headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA, GoDaddy has 12 million customers globally and caters for 58 million domain names. The company’s philosophy is to provide small business owners with the support they need to establish a viable Internet presence. Alongside India, the company has premises in United States, Latin America, the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands, and Singapore.
Starting at Indian Rupees 1,079 ($16.995) per month, the company’s new India options are also aimed at “web designers, developers and small business owners” who need high levels of server flexibility and performance. Three options are available – for those who require additional dedicated IPs, a managed VPS service, and a dedicated server option. Each offers features that include “1-click application installations, backups and restores” alongside “monitoring, 1-3 dedicated IPs and increased bandwidth for improved performance”.
“Most small business owners and Web designers look for hosting services which are not only cost effective, but also effortlessly integrate with newer technologies and software,” explained Rajiv Sodhi, Vice President and Managing Director of GoDaddy India. “Advanced hosting solutions from GoDaddy put the customer in-control. Web developers and designers are critical to the success of GoDaddy. We are constantly working toward better understanding and meeting their evolving needs. These new products are a direct result of many conversations with our customers.”
