Web host and domain name registrar
GoDaddy is giving small businesses the type of helping hand they will certainly appreciate. GoDaddy, which manages 58 million domain names and caters to a global customer base of 12 million individuals and businesses of all sizes, is offering small businesses a domain name, a website and Microsoft email for just $1 per month for their first year of operation (although GoDaddy's website suggests "other restrictions apply").
In an environment where the internet is used to find information on products and services, but only around 50% of small businesses are actually online, GoDaddy's "Get Online Today" promotion underscores the company's commitment to providing smaller businesses with a cost-effective internet presence. The company is working alongside Microsoft Corporation to "help people worldwide easily and affordably get on the Web".
Alongside a custom domain name reflecting the name of a company, the promotion offers users access to GoDaddy's proprietary Website Builder and GoDaddy's Microsoft Office 365 offering, which provides the full suite of cloud-based Microsoft productivity and communication software. Once signed up new users receive Bing Ads credit to the value of $50. All of GoDaddy's services are underpinned by ongoing technical and customer service phone support.
“In order to keep up with customers in our online world, small businesses need to have a complete online presence," explained GoDaddy's Senior Vice President of Business Applications, Steven Aldrich. "Get Online Today simplifies the lives of small business owners across the globe by helping them jumpstart their online presence. Every business worldwide should jump on this offer from GoDaddy and Microsoft to get online quickly, easily and affordably. This new offering is another step forward in our quest to radically shift the global economy toward small business by empowering people to easily start, confidently grow and successfully run their own ventures.”
