March 15, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - The Go Daddy Group, Inc., parent company of GoDaddy.com, the No. 1 registrar of domain names, announced today that in less than a year since entering the Secure Certificate market, it has grown to become the fourth largest group provider of Secure Certificates worldwide.
Go Daddy's February 2005 sales were up over 237%, compared to April 2004. In January of this year, industry monitor Netcraft, reported that Go Daddy had experienced the largest monthly gain in the number of issued Secure Certificates worldwide. Netcraft also found that Go Daddy's growth in new certificates led the second-fastest growing Certificate Authority by more than 60%.
"We are extremely pleased with our growth in this sector," said Bob Parsons, president and founder of Go Daddy. "During the past year, we worked very hard to offer a variety of Secure Certificate products designed to meet the various needs of consumers; and we also worked very hard to ensure that all of our Secure Certificate products are easy to use, affordable, and come with unparalleled customer service. The statistics reported by Netcraft earlier this month, as well as its data from earlier this year, confirms that our hard work has paid off, and that we have the best value proposition when it comes to Secure Certificates. Of course, we will continue to improve all of our Secure Certificate products based on customer feedback and market demands."
