Web Host and Domain Registrar GoDaddy to Launch in 21 New Markets
Web host and domain registrar GoDaddy is to launch in 21 new markets (with a strong focus on Europe) requiring services be provided in 14 new languages. The company, which bills itself as “the world’s largest technology provider dedicated to small businesses”, is dedicated to global expansion and the latest move is one of a number made recently that were designed to increase the company’s global footprint.

GoDaddy’s products and services are already supported in United Kingdom, Ireland and Spain and will become available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the Ukraine. The company also recently recruited new regional heads in EMEA and LATAM with a view to establishing localized products and services to international markets. Customer care will be given in the local languages in areas where GoDaddy is expanding its role. The expansion has been led by James Carroll who joined GoDaddy in March 2013 after completing similar expansion roles at Yahoo! and Microsoft.

“GoDaddy is ‘turning the lights’ on for small businesses all across Europe. We believe small businesses are an economic driving force globally, which is why GoDaddy is committed to offering the individualized service and support necessary to empower those businesses for success,” said GoDaddy CEO Blake Irving. “In a single day, we turned on support for customers in 21 new markets. This release represents our continued commitment to support small businesses with a completely localized offering.”
