Web host Dreamscape Networks (
Dreamscape) has announced its plans to merge with Singaporean hosting provider Vodien Internet Solutions Pte Ltd. (Vodien). Dreamscape, which has headquarters in Dubai Internet City, Dubai, was established in 2013. The company is a “major market player in Australia and the fast-growing Asia Pacific region”. Its services extend to domain name registration, cloud hosting, digital branding and online marketing. It has a broad customer base which includes SMEs and Fortune 500 companies. Dreamscape’s merger with Vodien further extends its footprint in Southeast Asia.
With headquarters in the city state, Vodien was established in 2002. The company has an international clientele list that includes customers in Malaysia, Indonesia, Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and, of course, Singapore. Its offerings include shared, VPS, and email hosting alongside dedicated server options, domain registration services and SSL certificates. Together the two companies will address the ever increasing demand for digital services in the Southeast Asian region. The cost of the deal is said to be $A29.5 million ($22 million) and it is being financed by Dreamscape.
"This is a strategic merger for Dreamscape Networks,” explained Mark Evans, the CEO and Managing Director of Dreamscape in a press release. “The leadership team at Vodien Group has substantial knowledge of the local industry, with a strong track record of growth, and will be a great addition to our senior executive team. The culture they have developed and led is a perfect fit for us."
He added, "By joining forces with this robust Asian hosting brand, we can leverage its current market position and strong customer awareness to immediately increase our footprint in the Southeast Asia region, without the need to establish our own Singapore hub infrastructure”.
