March 29, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - DSL.net, a provider of broadband services and web hosting to businesses, said today that The Care of Trees, one of the largest employee-owned arboriculture companies with multi-locations in five of the country's top metropolitan markets, has agreed to extend an existing private network agreement and add locations onto its company-wide virtual private network (VPN).
DSL.net is providing its NETlink VPN service for reliable, secure connectivity between The Care of Trees' headquarters in the Chicago metro region and more than 20 office locations in eight states and Washington, D.C. The broadband connectivity for the majority of the sites is through T-1 lines, while the remaining locations are served by business-class SDSL lines.
"DSL.net's NETlink VPN solution delivers all the benefits of a fully managed and custom-configured private network without the high costs associated with traditional network architectures," said Diane Gongaware, senior vice president of sales and marketing at DSL.net. "The Care of Trees has been a loyal DSL.net customer since 2001 and we are delighted that this growing organization has agreed to extend its agreement. The extension and expansion of this agreement is another example of our continued focus on higher-margin services and multi-line accounts."
According to Peter Szoke, IT manager for The Care of Trees, the IP-based private network solution and broadband connectivity offered by DSL.net "provides us with secure, real-time communications between our widely dispersed associates and gives us the bandwidth needed to run our suite of corporate applications. Our focus is on a robust network, productivity and cost effectiveness -- and being able to smoothly and seamlessly add sites to our corporate network as we expand our business nationwide."
