Web Host Go Daddy Announces New Domain Management Feature

October 7, 2005
October 7, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Web Host GoDaddy.com yesterday announced the introduction of ‘AccountExec’ - a new domain management system available free of charge to its customers. AccountExec enables domain registrants to allow others to control particular domain management functions while maintaining overall control of the domain itself. The system allows registrants to create groups of one or more domains and appoints AccountExecs to update and manage domains on the registrant’s behalf. The registrant assigns the AccountExec one or more pre-defined roles for each domain group, such as Read Only, Admin, Contacts, Nameservers, Auto Renew, Cancel, Hosts and Domain Forwarding. An AccountExec who is assigned a 'NameServer' and 'Cancel' role, for example, has the ability to both modify nameserver information, as well as cancel, the entrusted domain. "AccountExec was developed in direct response to our customers," said Bob Parsons, President and Founder, Go Daddy.com. "Customers asked for a tool that would allow them to delegate domain name management responsibilities to a variety of people on a variety of levels - yet ensure they retain control over their domains. So we developed the exact solution they requested."
